Verbal Bullying

Verbal Bullying

This kind of bullying involves name calling and bullies use mean and cruel statements to gain power and control over the victim. Verbal bullies will purposely insult someone to demean and hurt that other person. When verbal bullies insult someone they look for someone who is acting or behaving a certain way, and or even just based on what they might look like. This bullying mostly happens when adults are not around to stop it.

Examples of Verbal Bullying

  • Name Calling
  • Cruel Statements
  • Putting someone down
  • Using put downs
  • Mean Sarcasm
